Transaction Modeling

Here's a site that has a good definition. It describes it from the UTML specification. http://se2c.uni.lu/tiki/se2c-bib_abstract.php?id=933

There are quite a few other schools of thought. I'm not the most qualified person to provide you with this information. Try Googling on UTML, transaction modeling, ACID and you'll find lots of info!
